Betas

Betas with System Extensions, such as Process X-Ray, add near-system level capability. While Apple has designed these system extensions to be much safer than Kernel Extensions (KEXTs), they still pose a small amount of risk. For this reason, we recommend you:

• Back up your Mac before installing any software.

• Install the beta software only on non-production devices that are not business critical.

• If possible, install beta software on a secondary system or on a secondary partition on your Mac.
